Wichita Firefighters
ABOUT CERULLO'S FALSE ENDORSEMENT CLAIM
Councilman Cerullo did not receive our endorsement, so what did he do? He tried to steal it.
This week, Councilman Jared Cerullo sent mail across District 3 stating that he was supported by “Wichita Firefighters” and accused Michael Hoheisel of starting “fire lies”. This is simply not true. Councilman Cerullo did not receive our endorsement, so what did he do? He tried to steal it.
In doing so, he also used the trademarked logo and slogan from the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. This was immediately noticed by a few of our members so we reached out to the foundation. These items were used without their knowledge or permission and we share their disappointment about this flyer. They have reached out to Councilman Cerullo requesting he immediately stop using these trademarked materials -- the problem is they are already in the hands of voters across South Wichita.

Both of these acts speak to integrity and show a deep disrespect for what firefighters do and the ultimate price many have paid keeping their communities safe.
THE FACTS: Jared Cerullo came to IAFF Local 135 - Wichita Firefighters, seeking our endorsement for his upcoming city council election. The executive staff sent out an endorsement survey and set up meetings to discuss issues facing Wichita firefighters. After evaluating his answers to that survey, and after face to face conversations, we officially endorsed Michael Hoheisel for District 3.
